HUNTER is the next-generation turret on top of TUNGA's new v3 exterior design. It builds on the experience of MERGEN, the system on the vehicle today, and is currently in the design stage.
Designing a turret integrated with the new v3 hull: gathering the sensors and aiming hardware in an enclosed head, fitting it alongside the antennas and sensors on the hull without interference, and carrying the target detection and tracking experience gained with MERGEN into the new design.
HUNTER is modelled in the UGV v13 design as a box-shaped head sitting on top of the hull. The turret has not been built yet; the images on this page are 3D design renders. For target detection, tracking and lock-on, the plan is to reuse the approach that runs on MERGEN today.
